First Use Guide

Everything you need to know to get started with your new device

Q: What should I do after unboxing the product?
A: Carefully remove all packaging materials and check if all parts are
included — the pool skimmer robot, debris basket, Type-C charging
cable, "FQA Manual" "APP Connection Instructions" "Pool Hook"
and user manual.
Q: How can I tell if the robot is ready to use?
A: The device comes with a small amount of power for testing, but we
recommend a full solar charge before first use to ensure stable operation.

Q: Do I need to charge it before using it for the first time?
A: Yes. Place the skimmer in direct sunlight for 6–8 hours before first
use. This allows the built-in solar panel to fully charge the internal
battery.
Q: Can I charge it indoors with the cable?
A: Yes. If the weather is cloudy or your pool area doesn’t get enough
sunlight, you can use the provided Type-C cable to charge the robot
via a 5V/2A power adapter.
Q: How do I know it’s charging?
A: Slow Flashing Red Light (while charging),The device is charging via
Type-C cable. The light turns off when fully charged.

Q: How do I start the robot?
① Turn on the power switch located at the back of the robot.
② Gently place the robot flat on the pool surface — do not drop it
vertically.
③ Wait a few seconds; it will automatically begin scanning and
cleaning once it senses water contact and sunlight.
Q: The robot didn’t move after I turned it on. Is it defective?
① Is there enough sunlight? If not, wait a few minutes.
② Is the debris basket empty and correctly seated?
③ Is the solar panel clean?
After confirming these, restart the robot — most “no movement”
cases are due to low battery or debris blockage.
Q: Should I push it around manually to start?
A: No. The robot activates automatically once it’s floating on water.
Pushing may tilt the sensors or block the intake.

Q: How does it clean automatically?
A: Once on, it begins to cruise the pool surface, using solar energy to
power its motors. The ultrasonic sensors help it detect walls and avoid
collisions, ensuring full coverage over time.
Q: How long can it run each day?
A: With sufficient sunlight, it operates continuously throughout the
day. At night, it runs on stored solar power for 16 hours, depending
on previous charging conditions.
Q: Do I need to remove it at night or in the rain?
A: No. It’s fully waterproof and designed for outdoor use 24/7. However,
during storms or long periods of heavy rain, it’s best to remove and
store it for safety

Q: When should I clean the debris basket for the first time?
A: After the first day of use, open the top lid and check the basket.
Depending on how dirty your pool is, you might need to empty it daily
at first. Once the pool stays cleaner, every 2–3 days is enough.
Q: How do I clean the basket?
A: Lift the lid, take out the basket, shake off debris, and rinse it with
clean water.
Q: The Breathing Red Light — what does it mean?
A: The garbage basket is full — please clean it.

  • Place the robot in open sunlight for best charging performance.
  • Always turn on the power switch before placing it in the pool.
  • Ensure the debris basket is installed properly — loose baskets can stop operation.
  • Keep solar panel and sensors clean for smooth navigation.
  • If the robot stops or spins in place, simply power off, clean the underside, and restart.

User Manual

The SUPCLEAN SolarSurfer S5 is an advanced, solar-powered robotic pool skimmer designed to keep your pool clean with zero effort. It operates completely on sunlight when used outdoors, making it energy-saving and maintenance-free. After turning on the power switch, the robot automatically activates within a few seconds, begins moving across the water, and smoothly avoids obstacles while collecting leaves, dust, and other debris.

The S5 includes a large 4.5L debris basket, so it can run for long hours without needing frequent cleaning. If the battery level drops below 20%, it automatically moves to a sunny spot to recharge and resumes cleaning once it reaches 30%. You can also charge it indoors using a 5V 2A Type-C adapter when needed.
